Overview

How we help

Tax law changes almost every year, and 2025’s federal tax law (the One Big Beautiful Bill Act) changed a lot at once: new deductions for tips, overtime, car loan interest and seniors, a higher SALT cap, and changes to the Child Tax Credit and energy credits. Knowing which of these apply to you, and how to document them, is exactly what we do.

We start with a conversation about your year: work, family changes, investments, a home purchase, a move. Then we review your documents, prepare the return, walk you through the result before anything is filed, and stay available afterward if the IRS or your state has questions.

FAQ

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Call (877) 658-7038 or email support@stellartaxgroup.com.

How long does it take to prepare my return?

Simple returns are often ready the same day once we have all your documents. Returns with businesses, rentals or multiple states take longer. We’ll give you a timeline at your appointment.

Can you file a return for a year I missed?

Yes. We prepare prior-year returns. If you’re owed a refund, you generally have three years from the original due date to claim it, so it’s worth acting soon.

Do I meet with someone in person?

Your choice. We offer in-person and virtual appointments, and we’re available 24/7.

What if I get a letter from the IRS after you file?

Contact us. We’ll explain what it means and help you respond. If you need formal representation, see our Audit Representation service.

Should I itemize or take the standard deduction?

It depends on your mortgage interest, state and local taxes, charitable gifts and medical costs. We calculate both and use whichever saves you more.
